Tradesman, Leader, Coach,
Builder of people.

Dominic Carr helps managers, leaders, and skilled trades professionals grow beyond technical ability and become the kind of people others want to follow.

His work is grounded in real-life experience inside plumbing, HVAC, field leadership, service management, coaching, and business operations — not theory disconnected from the job.

Built in the trades. Refined through leadership.

Dom’s credibility does not come from collecting titles. It comes from living the progression so many leaders in the trades experience for themselves.

Dominic Carr grew up around the trades. Plumbing was not something he discovered later. It was part of his world from the beginning. Watching, helping, learning, and absorbing the realities of the work shaped how he sees people, responsibility, and leadership.

Over time, that exposure became a career path. He developed through hands-on roles in plumbing and HVAC, then stepped into supervision, management, and operational leadership. As his responsibility grew, so did his awareness of a common problem: companies promote strong performers and expect them to know how to lead, develop, and align people without ever teaching them how.

That gap became personal. Dom saw firsthand what happens when technical skill outpaces leadership development. Pressure rises. Communication weakens. Good people get mislabeled. Managers end up carrying more than they should because they do not yet know how to create ownership in others.

That is the space where Dom now works. Through P2L Academy™, he helps people move from doing the work well to leading people well — with more clarity, more integrity, and less force.

What makes Dom different

  • He teaches from lived experience, not borrowed language.
  • He understands the tension between production and people development.
  • He believes leadership starts with identity before tactics.
  • He helps people lead without becoming someone they do not respect.
  • He works to create alignment, not just compliance.

Leadership experience that was earned, not imagined.

Before coaching leaders, Dom lived the path himself — from field work to supervision to service management to business leadership.

How Dom sees leadership

Most leadership problems are not really communication problems first. They are identity problems, pressure problems, and awareness problems. People lead from what is happening inside them whether they realize it or not.

That is why Dom’s coaching does not stop at surface tactics. He helps people understand how they think, what they are reacting to, what they are carrying, and how to lead from greater clarity instead of inherited pressure.

The goal is not polished leadership language. The goal is real alignment — where the way someone leads matches what they actually value.

Core beliefs behind the work

Why clients and teams work with Dom.

People do not just need information. They need someone who understands the weight they carry and can help them think more clearly inside it.

He understands the pressure.

Dom has lived the pressure of field leadership, service management, operations, and people development. He knows what it feels like when results matter and people still need to be led well.

He bridges trades and leadership.

He helps hardworking, technically capable people grow into stronger communicators, stronger managers, and stronger developers of others.

He keeps it real.

The work is practical, human, and clear. No inflated jargon. No leadership theater. Just honest development that actually fits real life.

“Great performers are promoted every day. Great leaders are developed far less often. Dom’s work exists to help close that gap.”
